Uncompromising
Security
Your data is yours. We protect it with state-of-the-art encryption and a strict privacy policy.
Trust is Earned
We know that financial data is among the most sensitive data you own. That's why we built Pactol with a 'Sovereign-by-Design' architecture from day one. We don't just make promises; we built a system where privacy is the default, ensuring that even if we wanted to, we couldn't compromise your financial life.
Radical Minimalism
The best way to protect data is to never have it in the first place. Unlike most apps, we refuse to collect superfluous information. No name, no address, no phone number, no birth date. We do not connect to your bank accounts (no Open Banking) and we do not ask for any KYC (ID cards). Only your email address is required. If our servers were compromised tomorrow, hackers would find nothing but anonymous numbers, with no physical identity attached.
State-of-the-Art Encryption
Security is our top priority. Pactol uses AES-256 encryption for all sensitive data. This encryption happens 'at rest' (in the database) and 'in transit' (when data travels between your device and the server) via secure TLS protocols. Concretely, your amounts and balances are transformed into indecipherable strings for anyone without the key, ensuring total confidentiality of your financial information.
Sovereignty
Your data does not travel. It is hosted exclusively on secure servers located in Europe, under the jurisdiction of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), one of the strictest privacy regulations in the world.
Ethical Model
Our business model is transparent: we offer a free version and a Pro plan. We do not sell ads. We NEVER sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, data brokers, or investment funds. You are our customer, not our product.
Swiss Engineering
Pactol is designed and developed in the heart of Switzerland, a country world-renowned for its technical excellence and absolute respect for privacy. By anchoring development here, we operate within one of the strictest legal frameworks in the world. In a direct, stable, and neutral democracy, the state cannot arbitrarily demand access to your private data without a solid legal basis. This provides an additional barrier against mass surveillance or pressure from foreign powers. Here, your privacy is a core value, not just an option.
